If your slab is older, it may have cracks, stains, oil and sometimes an old coating that's peeling. None of that rules out a new floor, but it all has to be handled during preparation. We look at the concrete at the estimate and tell you what it needs before you decide.
Oil that has soaked in has to be cleaned out rather than coated over, or the new coating won't bond well there. A peeling coating has to come off completely, because a new coat laid over a failing one fails with it.
Garages that sit shut through a hot afternoon can get very warm inside, so ventilation and the time of day matter on installation day.
